Jackie Wride

Registered Veterinary Technician
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved animals. I have worked in veterinary clinics since I was 15-years-old and can't picture myself doing anything else. I went to school at Dalhousie University, in their Faculty of Agriculture and graduated in 2013. I joined Riverview Animal Hospital in April of 2016. I came here because of our great reputation and to work with other veterinary professionals who are just as excited about their jobs as I am. My special area of interests is emergency medicine and anesthesia are special interests of mine. My first pet was a Shetland Sheepdog named Tazz. What I love most about my job is knowing that I am giving the animals the best patient care I can. I always hope we put owner's minds at ease, knowing there are really great technicians (and doctors) looking after their hospitalized animals when they can't be here. What I love most about Riverview Animal Hospital is our top-notch patient care, and of course, the great staff I get to work with! Fun fact about myself is I have an almost 18-year-old dog named Dobi, who I love more than anything.

Rebecca Schofield Community Event

Riverview Animal Hospital helped last week to build the Rebecca Schofield All World Super Play Park. It was a huge community event with over 2, 583 volunteers that built a giant accessible playground for all of Greater Moncton's Children to enjoy. Rebecca Schofield is Riverview New Brunswick's international celebrity. In 2016, at 16 years old Rebecca became ill, what was thought to be the flu turn into a diagnosis of Brain Cancer. In the short time before her death in 2018, Rebecca started a global movement, by inspiring people around the world to simply be kind to one another. Her hashtag #beccatoldmeto is to this day still seen all over the world as people perform random acts of kindness. Her legacy lives on making the world a better place one act of kindness at a time. We were very proud to be able to do our small part in helping to build the playground. We know that Becca's legacy will carry on for years to come, and I know the team at RAH will think of her every time we see the smiles of children as they play on their new beautiful playground.
