Mary Jarvis

Registered Veterinary Technician
I joined the Riverview Animal Hospital in May 2018. Like most others, I went into this field for my love of animals. Being able to help make them feel better is the most rewarding feeling in the world. The area of veterinary medicine that interests me the most is emergency medicine and anesthesia. My first pet was a border collie named Max, and now I own a rescued feral cat named Louise. The most rewarding aspect of my job is watching sick animals leave the clinic happy and healthy again. I love working at Riverview Animal Hospital because the team atmosphere is so positive and always focused on the care of our patients.

Rebecca Schofield Community Event

Riverview Animal Hospital helped last week to build the Rebecca Schofield All World Super Play Park. It was a huge community event with over 2, 583 volunteers that built a giant accessible playground for all of Greater Moncton's Children to enjoy. Rebecca Schofield is Riverview New Brunswick's international celebrity. In 2016, at 16 years old Rebecca became ill, what was thought to be the flu turn into a diagnosis of Brain Cancer. In the short time before her death in 2018, Rebecca started a global movement, by inspiring people around the world to simply be kind to one another. Her hashtag #beccatoldmeto is to this day still seen all over the world as people perform random acts of kindness. Her legacy lives on making the world a better place one act of kindness at a time. We were very proud to be able to do our small part in helping to build the playground. We know that Becca's legacy will carry on for years to come, and I know the team at RAH will think of her every time we see the smiles of children as they play on their new beautiful playground.
