Registered Veterinary Technician
I decided to enter the veterinary field as a way of "giving back" to all of the special animals that impact and enrich our lives every day, whether that is through companionship, sports and entertainment or food production. I graduated from the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Veterinary Technology program in 2019. I joined the Riverview Animal Hospital team in May 2019. The area of veterinary medicine that interests me the most is canine physical rehabilitation and sports medicine. This interest stems from my background in training and competing in the sport of agility with my Border Collies. I love how every day is different and how versatile a veterinary technician's role in the hospital is. A fun fact about me is during my third year of university, I was lucky enough to travel to South Africa for three weeks during a course, and was able to give an antibiotic injection to a sedated wild rhino. Another fun fact is that my first pet was a Border Collie named Riley.
