Dr. Pierrette Mercier

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I graduated from the University of Montreal in 1988. I have been doing behavior consultant work at RAH since 2018 but joined the team in 2020. My special interest is veterinary behavior. I love helping pets and their owners and also enjoy learning new things about animals and their treatments.

The family atmosphere at RAH is truly a blessing. My first pet was Gertrude, a Eurasia collared dove that followed me everywhere and lived to be 19 years old. My love for animal behavior was triggered when I adopted a deaf, pretty, blue eyed Dalmatian that had autistic like behaviors. I knew then that this was the career I had to pursue!
